FLORA OF VIETNAM

Fam. Orchidaceae

Dendrobium porphyrochilum Lindl

N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Bao Lac, municipality Yen Lac,

vicinities of Yen Lac village (N 22ø44' E 105ø50'). Primary mixed

semideciduous forest (with domination Keteleeria chinensis) along tops

of remnant karst limestone ridge at 1450-1500 m elev. Epiphyte.

Flowers: tepals light green with purple nerves, lip light green with

purple stripes at the base and uniformly deep green epichile, column

light green, anther white. Rare. No CBL 1484 16 April 1999
